We are almost done with the move. Our furniture came in on Sunday, and it was super quick. Since it was mothers day we had my parents and my brother over, and went to see Star Trek.

I actually enjoyed it, too! How about that. I'm not much of a Star Trek fan, lol. But I am a Heroes fan, lol, so I wanted to see how well Syler's actor plays as Spock. But overall the entire movie was enjoyable even though I know absolutely nothing about the original Star Trek.

Today we finally got the internet to work- it was supposed to be up on Monday (or before then? We had conflicting information that gave us three dates). The guys came in and fixed something that that previous internet company had messed up... something about the wiring, I guess. And now it's finally working. Thank goodness, I was getting upset without the internet for what feels like weeks now.

The cats are doing much better, too. Bear has taken to sliding across the room in a fury. Kara has become less aggregated with more space, too. I <3 it. They fight a lot less and she's not doing her usual messes/playing in the water bowl. Yay.

Soon I'll have to come back to reality from the moving though. I've been keeping school as last priority for awhile now & things are starting to get backed up. Still need to work on the bio presentation & paper... and the stupid pet selection project (which is more busywork then anything else).

And the Mormons just came to our door for the first time ever. LOL :( I lied and said I was working on a timed quiz online to make them go away...

So, here I am on Dream Width instead of Livejournal. It's been a long time since I've tried another competitor to LJ... but hey, why not? Maybe it'll be fun for awhile.

Lets see... my old name on LJ is Banannachucks. I got that name when I was in high school, and wtf it's taken a long time to get away from. And previous to that was EyeBurnThings. I've been on there for nearly 8 years of my life! So pretty much most of my college life is documented there, and a slim part of high school is also.

So, here I am. December I am graduating (finally) from college and ending that part of my life (for now?). I am married, have 2, going on 3 cats, and we are in the very long process of moving into a condo. The past few months especially have been very exciting & although I have a lot of ups and downs, things are overall really, really good.

I'm considering making the move over here to continue documenting life but with a new, empty journal & username. We'll see- not many people are making the move over here so there might not be a lot of IRL friends on DW.
